An early childhood setting is created at Wavell Heights Kindergarten so each child can find a safe and secure footing from which to reach their potential.

Offering three different programs, each tailored for both you and your child’s specific needs, we aim to help your child thrive through early education. Our Pre-Prep program is develop with C&Ks ‘Curriculum Approach: Listening and Learning Together’ teaching guidelines as well as the Australian Government’s ‘Early Years Learning Framework’. These frameworks link in to the National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care, and provide us with a strong basis for our high quality program.

At Wavell Heights Kindergarten, our Kindergarten program is developed through listening and observing children. Our Educators acknowledge that play is a fundamental medium for young children’s learning. Children are given time to explore their environment through play, to make discoveries and to consolidate their learning through many “hands-on” experiences.

All Kindergarten programs are delivered by University qualified Early Childhood Teachers and qualified Assistants who have many years of experience in teaching Kindergarten aged children. The teaching staff work with the same group of children each day to provide the children with stability and continuity during the year.
